เจสันกับขนแกะทองคำ (8)

เท้าความเล็กน้อยกันลืม : การค้นหาขนแกะทองคำนี้เริ่มขึ้นเมื่อเจสันได้ออกเดินทางเพื่อทวงบัลลังจากราชาเพลิอัส เจสันได้รวบรวมเหล่าวีรบุรุษเดินทางไปบนเรืออาร์โก แม้ว่าเฮราเคลสจะถอนตัวไปกลางคันแต่ก็ยังออกเดินทางต่อจนกระทั่งได้โอรสทั้งสี่ของฟริคซุสมาร่วมทางไปคอลชิส แต่เนื่องจากเอเออเทสผู้ปกครอสคอลชิสไม่ยินยอมจะยกขนแกะทองคำให้ จึงออกอุบายให้เจสันไปพิชิตนักรบเขี้ยวมังกรให้ได้เสียก่อน

ในวันต่อมาเจสันก็สามารถจับวัวกระทิงที่มีลมหายใจเป็นไฟได้สำเร็จ (ด้วยความช่วยเหลือจากขี้ผึ้งซึ่งสามารถกันไฟได้ 1 วันของมีเดีย) เจสันไม่รอช้าเริ่มพิธีแรกนาขวัญเอาวัวเทียมแอกไถหว่านเขี้ยวมังกรทันที ครั้นแล้วก็มีกลุ่มนักรบในชุดเต็มอัตราศึกออกมาจากพื้นดิน (รายละเอียดอ่านได้ในช่วงท้ายตอนที่ 7) เจสันใช้วิธีเขวี้ยงก้อนหินเข้าไปกระแทกหน้านักรบเหล่านั้นให้หันไปมองกันเอง แล้วด้วยความที่มี IQ ต่ำเอาเรื่องพวกนั้นก็เลยฆ่ากันเองเกือบหมด พวกที่เหลือรอดมาไม่กี่คนก็ถูกเจสันเชือดเอาด้วยดาบ

เอเออเทสรู้ดีว่าต้องมีคนในวงศ์ตระกูลของตนหักหลังอย่างแน่นอน แต่ก็ไปสงสัยคนอื่นแทนที่จะเป็นมีเดีย อย่างไรก็ตามเอเออเทสได้สั่งคนของตนเองอย่างลับๆ ให้โจมตีเหล่าอาร์โกนอทส์
มีเดียเองรู้ว่าเอเออเทสไม่รักษาสัตย์ก็ไปที่เรืออาร์โกเล่าเรื่องให้ฟัง และยังบอกเจสันอีกว่าให้แอบขโมยขนแกะทองคำหลบหนีไป เจสันได้ให้คำสัญญากับมีเดียว่าเมื่อเขากลับไปถึงกรีกจะแต่งงานกับนางเมื่อนางขอติดตามเขาไปด้วย

การไปเอาขนแกะทองคำมานี้มีฮีโร่อีกคนที่ช่วยเหลือเจสันคือออร์ฟีอูส ออร์ฟีอูสนี้เป็นบุตรของมิวส์ชื่อคัลลิโอเป้กับกษัตริย์โอเออาเจอร์แห่งธราซี แต่บางตำราก็บอกว่าพ่อของออร์ฟีอูสคือเทพเจ้าอพอลโล เมื่อมีบิดาเป็นเทพแห่งดนตรีและมารดาเป็นมิวส์อย่างนี้ออร์ฟีอูสจะไม่เป็นคีตกวีเลื่องชื่อแห่งแผ่นดินได้อย่างไร เสียงดนตรีของออร์ฟีอูสมีเสน่ห์ชวนหลงไหลเสียจนสัตว์ป่าทั้งหลายหากได้ฟังก็ยังเชื่อง แต่ผมอ่านเรื่องเกี่ยวกับออร์ฟีอูสแล้วก็ยังปวดหัวอยู่ว่าเครื่องดนตรีที่ออร์ฟีอูสใช้เป็น "ไลร์" (Lyre) หรือ "ลู้ต" (Lute) กันแน่ เพราะแต่ละตำราก็รจนาไว้ไม่ตรงกันเอาเสียเลย แต่ผมจะถือเอาฉบับที่บอกว่าเป็นไลร์ก็แล้วกัน

ถ้าท่านผู้อ่านยังจำได้ผมได้กล่าวไว้ตั้งแต่ตอนที่ 1 ว่าขนแกะถูกพิทักษ์อยู่โดยมังกรตัวหนึ่งซึ่งไม่เคยหลับ เมื่อเจสันต้องการจะผ่านมังกรตัวนี้ไปจึงต้องใช้ความช่วยเหลือจากนางมีเดียและออร์ฟีอูส โดยใช้ยา (แน่นอนว่าของมีเดีย) หยดลงไปเพื่อใช้กลิ่นหอมหวลของมันกล่อมเจ้ามังกร บรรยากาศยังยิ่งเป็นใจ (ให้หลับ) มากขึ้นเมื่อมีเสียงดนตรีของพระอภัยมณี เอ้ย! ออร์ฟีอูสคอยขับกล่อมอยู่ข้างๆ จนท้ายที่สุดมังกรตัวนี้ก็หลับไปจนได้ (แต่ดูยังไงก็งูเหลือม ถ้าดูจากภาพข้างล่างนี่)

ขอรวบรัดเลยแล้วกัน พอมังกรหลับแล้วเจสันก็จัดการดอดเข้าไปขโมยขนแกะทองคำออกมาเสร็จสมอารมณ์หมายก่อนล่องทะเลกว้างไปพร้อมกับมีเดียหลบหนีออกจากคอลชิส ส่วนเรื่องราวที่เหลืออยู่ในตอนต่อไปช่วยลุ้นให้ผมเขียนจบภายใน 3-4 ตอนทีเถอะ!

โอ้ว....ในที่สุดก็ทำได้ แต่ถ้าไม่มีคนช่วยก็ลำบากเหมือนกันนะ ....แอบขอบใจที่บอกกล่าวเรื่องของออร์ฟิอุสด้วย ( แบบว่าอ่านนักสืบQ ตอนที่เคเบรอสจะคลายสะกดจิตจะมีkey wordอยู่ มันมีออร์ฟิอุสด้วย เลยสงสัยกะมาถาม แต่ไม่ต้องแล้วล่ะ อิอิ thanks หลายๆ )
